Re: Discipline

For individuals interested in how to discipline a child without shouting and
the advantages of doing so, I would recommend the chapter on discipline in my
book, Top of the Class, Publisher: Ablex, Greenwich Connecticut. What I
wanted to learn about the subjects of this book (2000+ high academic
achievers, most over the age of 50) was how well these academic achievers
succeeded professionally, personally, and socially. In doing the research, I
asked about their childhood and then learned about discipline in the homes of
these achievers. The book also deals with the impact of noise on children's
development. The publisher of the book is an academic one, generally
promoting the book in universities. However, the book was written to appeal
to all readers. Arline Bronzaft
