Re: Action against noise

A snippet from The Globe and Mail (Toronto), Sept. 21/97

England: A 65-year-old woman, fed up with the noise from the bells of St.
Swithin's in Compton Basset, Wiltshire, broke down the heavy oak door of
the 12th-century church and cut the bell ropes with a hacksaw. Then she
called every member of the church council to tell them what she had done.
She also called the police to come and arrest her.

She was fined.
