Ontario legislation re farm noise

There was an article in the Globe and Mail (Canada's national newspaper)
this morning about the proposed legislation in Ontario to exempt farms from
municipal noise bylaws, in order to allow factory farming to proceed
without hindrance from "nuisance complaints". (I'm not sure if they meant
the noise or the complainers were the nuisance.)

Unfortunately, there does not seem to be any corresponding move to limit
the noise produced by machinery -- limits such as exist in Europe.

Eric, does CCAN have any plans to protest this legislation?
