Reminder: NPR Talk of the Nation, Monday 6/16

Here's the [edited] announcement from "www.npr.org". I note that
"Carl Rosenberg - Principal in Acentech, Acoustical consulting firm in
Cambridge, Massachusetts" isn't listed as a guest this time. I'm glad
actually. I think Carl would have slanted the discussion toward
technological means of "coping" with noise, rather than stopping it.
Also, the announcement is also slightly reworded. The sentence:

"Studies show that people in loud places are less civil to one
another and have trouble concentrating. Turn up your radio and
join Melinda Penkava for a discussion about the effects of living
     with loud noise."

has been dropped. Another good sign. It's not just about "loud".

The world has become a noisier place. From car alarms to fire
engines to electronic toys, the decibel levels of these sounds become
even louder just to be heard over the normal din. Constant noise can
have a negative impact on your mood, concentration level, and
interaction with others. Join host Melinda Penkava and guests for a
discussion about living among the clamor on the next Talk of the
Nation from NPR News.
