RE: Introducing myself

Welcome, Federico Miyara. It's great to have another continent represented.

How would you rate the general awareness of noise issues in your country? Are there any active anti-noise or pro-quiet organizations?

Subject: Introducing myself

Dear friends,

This message is to introduce myself to this mailing list. I'm an electronics
engineer and professor at the National University of Rosario, Argentina. I'm
directing the Acoustics and Electroacoustics Laboratory which belongs to
this University, and I'm currently engaged in different projects involving
noise control and urban noise pollution. My main project is to make a
proposal of a new noise by-law for Rosario, my city.

I've learned about this list in the Internet.

I've written a book on Sound Systems, which is to be published soon, and I'm
finishing another one on Noise Control, which I expect to be published next
year.
I'm also a musician. I play the piano and compose (mainly) chamber music.

Best wishes.
